If you are looking to change up your home this year, you’ve come to the right place! Our kitchen and bath designers have the inside scoop on trend predictions for 2023. We’ve already covered 2023 color and bathroom trends, next up is kitchen design trends.
Friendly reminder—just because something is in style doesn’t mean it needs a place in your home. Be sure to design spaces that make sense for you and will bring you joy—you have to see it everyday afterall.
Trend #1 Roomy Islands (Sans Sink)
Islands have been a kitchen design staple for years, but the trend that is separating one island from another is the counter space the island has to offer. Not only are larger islands in general on trend, but islands that don’t have room taken up by sink space (and the inevitable counter space that gets used up by those pesky dirty dishes) are even hotter. Even smaller skinnier islands can benefit from not having all of that realeaste taken up by pots and pans. If you are planning a kitchen reno anytime soon, be sure to think about the space available and how you can make your island as functional as possible (more on that below!).
Trend #2 Bold Colors
If you are caught up on our color trends update, you already know that bold moody colors are finding their place in living rooms, bedrooms, and of course kitchens. Sharp lines and accent hardware is still all the rage, but taking an all white kitchen and adding a bold blue can give the room some much needed grounding and add more depth to the space. Stop by Godwin Hardware to find just the right color for your style this week.
Trend #3 Smart Storage
Now, this last trend isn’t necessarily new, but it is still an important one to highlight, and that is the use of space in your kitchen. One of our favorite brands, Showplace Cabinetry, offers hundreds of flexible ways to make your space, limited or expansive, work for you. From spice drawers, vertical pull out cabinets, wine racks, and more there is the ability to cuztomize your kitchen to work for you, instead of against you.
