Color Design Trends: 2025

January 23, 2025

As impossible as it is, 2025 is here and with it come a slew of home remodels and makeovers. We’ve compiled the top trends we’re seeing going into the new year (as well as a few predictions). Our kitchen and bath designers will be waiting to chat all things design with you, give us a call when you’re ready!

Friendly reminder—just because something is in style doesn’t mean it needs a place in your home. Be sure to design spaces that make sense for you and will bring you joy—you have to see it everyday afterall.

Trend #1 Vintage Revival

As we enter into the next quarter of this century, one thing is clear: what’s old is new again. The colors of the 70s are reigning; greens, golds, browns, and rust hues. Incorporating vintage elements such as ornate gilded mirrors, painted wood furniture, and Art Deco styles with curved lines and mosaic tiles are sweeping kitchens and bathrooms across America.

Trend #2 Bold & Expresive

If vintage is not your style, don’t be afraid to be bold with your colors, by incorporating emerald green, terracotta, and other rich color palettes to bring warmth and boldness to your space. These deep tones allow you to express your style and move away from the graywashing that was all the rage a decade ago.

Trend #3 Color Drenching

Color drenching is just what it sounds like: you use a single color across multiple surfaces in a room to create a cohesive and immersive environment. A great way to do this is to use a statement art piece or furniture as the focal point or to match your furniture colors to your walls. If you want to start small, get matching pillows and accent pieces to start your journey to one color!
